Grants & Opportunities
Grants & Opportunities:
APU has an internal grant scheme which all full-time academic staff can consider applying. Application cycle will be scheduled yearly in the month of July or August and review to complete by September.
The purpose of the APU Research and Development Internal Grant (RDIG) scheme is to:
(1) Provide funding opportunities for early career researchers to undertake research;
(2) Act as a bridging fund to apply for external grants; and/or
(3) Serve as match funding in research collaboration with another higher education institution, company, non-government organisation, association and/or agency
All applications should include the following:
- Detailed description of the proposed research project, including the research gaps intended to be addressed, research objectives, methodology and expected outcomes. The research area must align with key priority research areas stipulated by APU.
- List of all project members from APU and any collaborating partners/institutions. Each application may list a maximum of three (3) researchers, with clear indication of the role of each researcher. Please note that the grant amount requested per application should be between RM20,000 to RM30,000 for engineering or technology projects and RM5,000 to RM10,000 for social science, business, management or marketing projects.
- Clear statement of how the grant utilisation will benefit APU students and meet the Vision and Mission of APU Research .
